Why is an SAT tutor running for President?
Fair question.
The short answer is this:
I've spent my entire life trying to solve problems other people assumed couldn't be solved.
Sometimes that meant reverse-engineering the SAT.
Sometimes it meant building multimillion-dollar businesses from almost nothing.
Sometimes it meant challenging conventional wisdom in completely different industries.

🚀 Started My First Business at Age 11 (1970)
I wanted a camera. So I entered a national coloring contest, won a set of encyclopedias, sold them, and used the money to start a photography business. Then I opened the phone book and cold-called strangers until I had clients. I learned something that has stayed with me ever since: Don't wait for opportunities. Create them.
🎓 Reverse Engineered the SAT Before SAT Prep Even Existed (1975)
After scoring a disappointing 1200 on the PSAT, I became obsessed with one question: Why is every correct SAT answer objectively correct? Instead of memorizing content, I began reverse-engineering the test itself. Over the next nine months, I reduced it to a structured decision system that eventually became my 54-rule SAT execution system. My own SAT score rose to 1580. 🏆 Graduated High School Valedictorian in Three Years (1976)
I graduated a year early simply because I wanted to know if it could be done. A few years later, I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth. I've never been particularly interested in following the normal timeline.

After college, I toted my electric piano up and down the streets of Manhattan and built a six-figure lifestyle entertaining complete strangers. It eventually became the foundation for the Piano Man show I still perform around the world.

A chance meeting led to legendary producer Jimmy Bowen. Within weeks, I became a published songwriter. People often call stories like this luck. I see them differently. Preparation tends to recognize opportunity before everyone else does.
💰 Built a $3 Million Business from $500 (1998)
I started The Medical Massage Group with a $500 investment. It eventually became the largest pregnancy massage center in the United States, generating more than $3 million annually. Again, I wasn't trying to work harder. I was trying to understand the hidden leverage inside the business.

By identifying a little-known opportunity in Google's early advertising platform, I built another multimillion-dollar business. That journey was later featured in the New York Times bestseller, Get Rich Click. Different industry. Same philosophy. Find the system.
🎓 Helping Students Earn Life-Changing Opportunities (2010–Present)
What began as helping friends prepare for the SAT evolved into one of the first fully online SAT tutoring systems. Over time I combined my original SAT decision system with decades of business strategy, admissions experience, and mentoring. Today I work with a very small number of ambitious students, helping them earn 1530+ SAT scores, compete for major merit scholarships, and position themselves for extraordinary college opportunities. The SAT is only part of what I teach. The bigger lesson is learning how to recognize patterns, think strategically, and solve problems that most people assume are impossible.

No, I don't expect to become President. I'm running because I believe leadership begins with demonstrating what's possible. Whether anyone ever votes for me isn't really the point. The point is continuing to challenge assumptions and encourage people to think differently.
Why It Matters
None of these accomplishments are the point.
The point is that they all came from the same mindset.
I don't believe nearly as much in talent as I do in systems.
Find the underlying rules.
Master them.
