ABOUT HARVEY WIZARD

Why Is An SAT Tutor Running For President?

Fair question.

The answer is that I've spent my entire life doing something that has very little to do with the SAT—and everything to do with how I see the world.

I look at problems other people have accepted as fixed and ask:

“What if we're looking at this the wrong way?”

Sometimes there's a business hiding inside the problem.

Sometimes there's an opportunity.

Sometimes there's a completely different way to solve it.

And sometimes the thing everyone thinks is a weakness turns out to be the thing that makes you valuable.

That's been the common thread running through my life.

🚀 Started My First Business At Age 11 — 1970

I wanted a camera.

So I entered a national coloring contest, won a set of encyclopedias, sold them, and used the money to start a photography business.

Then I opened the phone book and cold-called strangers until I had clients.

I learned something that has stayed with me ever since:

Don't wait for opportunities. Create them.

🎓 Reverse-Engineered The SAT Before SAT Prep Even Existed — 1975

After scoring a disappointing 1200 on the PSAT, I became obsessed with one question:

Why is every correct SAT answer objectively correct?

Instead of memorizing content, I started reverse-engineering the test itself.

I discovered that the test wasn't nearly as random as it appeared.

There were patterns.

Rules.

Decision points.

So I built a system around them.

Nine months later, my SAT score was 1580.

That system eventually became the foundation of my 1530+ SAT Execution System.

Nearly 50 years later, I'm still teaching the same fundamental lesson:

When you understand the system underneath a problem, the problem becomes much more predictable.

🏆 Graduated High School Valedictorian In Three Years — 1976

I graduated a year early simply because I wanted to know if it could be done.

A few years later, I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth.

I've never been particularly interested in following the normal timeline.

🎹 Became A New York City Street Musician — 1985

After college, I carried my electric piano through the streets of Manhattan and built a six-figure lifestyle entertaining complete strangers.

It eventually became the foundation for the Piano Man show I still perform around the world.

🎶 Became A Published Songwriter — 1987

A chance meeting led me to legendary producer Jimmy Bowen.

Within weeks, I became a published songwriter.

People often call stories like this luck.

I see them differently.

Preparation tends to recognize opportunity before everyone else does.

💰 Built A $3 Million Business From $500 — 1998

I started The Medical Massage Group with a $500 investment.

It eventually became the largest pregnancy massage center in the United States, generating more than $3 million annually.

Again, I wasn't simply trying to work harder.

I was trying to understand the hidden leverage inside the business.

🖥️ Became An Internet Multi-Millionaire — 2005

By identifying a little-known opportunity in Google's early advertising platform, I built another multimillion-dollar business.

That journey was later featured in the New York Times bestseller Get Rich Click.

Different industry.

Different opportunity.

Same philosophy:

Find the system.

🎓 Helping Students Create Life-Changing Opportunities — 2010–Present

What began as helping friends prepare for the SAT eventually evolved into one of the first fully online SAT tutoring systems.

Over time, I combined my original SAT decision system with decades of business strategy, admissions experience and mentoring.

Today I work with a very small number of ambitious students, helping them pursue 1530+ SAT scores, compete for major merit scholarships and position themselves for extraordinary college opportunities.

But the SAT is only one application of the way I think.

The bigger lesson is learning to recognize patterns, think strategically and solve problems that most people assume are impossible.

🎤 Comedy, Books, Music & Reinvention

I've founded Costa Rica's only English-language comedy club.

Performed internationally.

Published music.

Written books.

Built websites.

Started businesses.

Started over.

And my most meaningful book, Creating Joy, was written after losing my only daughter.

That experience changed the way I think about success.

Success means very little unless it's used to help other people.

🇺🇸 Why Am I Running For President?

Because I want a larger platform to do exactly that.

Help people.

I've spent decades watching people accept systems they don't understand as if those systems were laws of nature.

They're not.

They're systems.

And systems can be understood.

Improved.

Sometimes completely redesigned.

That's the philosophy behind everything I've done—from the SAT to entrepreneurship to the work I'm doing now.

And it's the philosophy behind my 2028 presidential campaign.

I don't think a presidential candidate should simply spend two years asking Americans to believe in him.

Shouldn't a candidate prove himself by helping other people before asking for their vote?

That's what I'm trying to do.

Rather than spend the next two years simply raising money and telling people what I would do if I became President, I'm starting with something much smaller:

Can I help one person?

Then another.

Then another.

And if I can demonstrate that I can actually help people solve problems, create opportunities and change what's possible in their lives...

Maybe I've earned the right to ask for their vote.

And if I don't become President?

I'll still have spent those two years doing something useful.

The Pattern

None of the accomplishments above are really the point.

The photography business wasn't the point.

The SAT wasn't the point.

The $3 million company wasn't the point.

The Internet businesses weren't the point.

The music wasn't the point.

Even the presidential campaign isn't really the point.

The point is the pattern.

Again and again, I've walked into situations that looked complicated, unconventional or impossible—and looked for the underlying rules.

Find the rules.

Understand the leverage.

Build the system.

Execute.

That's how I've built businesses.

That's how I teach the SAT.

That's how I mentor entrepreneurs.

And that's how I intend to approach the biggest problems facing America.

I don't believe every problem is easy.

I believe far more problems are solvable than we assume.

So What Can I Do For You?

That's really what my presidential campaign is about.

Not asking you to believe in me.

Giving you a chance to see what I can actually do.

Maybe you have a business that's not producing what you think it should.

Maybe you've always wanted to start something.

Maybe you have an idea but can't figure out how to make money from it.

Maybe you're thinking about changing careers.

Maybe you simply know something isn't working but can't see what to do differently.

You don't need to have the answer before you schedule.

That's what the 15 minutes are for.

Bring me the problem.

Bring me the idea.

Bring me the opportunity.

I'll bring the questions.

And we'll see what we can find.
